Drama
Drama helps children of all abilities to develop their communication skills so that they can participate as fully as possible in learning and life beyond school.
The Drama Department provides children with many opportunities to express themselves through performance and to appreciate others’ performances. Drama is often taught on a cross-curricular basis, with links to Music, PHSE and Dance, and our schemes of work reflect a variety of genres and approaches, offering every child the chance of success.
In years 3 – 6 there are weekly class drama lessons where the emphasis is on learning performance skills and developing childrens’ self confidence to express themselves individually and work well with others.
Year 3 perform a play during the Autumn term. The whole of Upper school participate in the Summer Production. Year 6 have main roles and are supported by year 3, 4 and 5.
