PREP

The Prep department at Rupert House is for girls from Year 3 to Year 6.
At the end of Year 2 the girls are taken to visit their new classrooms and spend some time with the Form 3 teachers in the last few weeks of the summer term. They time to ask questions about the coming academic year and about what might be expected of them.
In Year 3 the girls have specialist teachers for art, music, PE, French, IT and design technology but all other subjects are taught by the two Year 3 teachers. Classes are small and this allows staff to teach the girls on a one to one basis as well as to the group.
Years 4, 5 and 6 are taught by specialist subject teachers for all subjects. The staff meet regularly to monitor the girls’ progress across the subjects. As with Year 3, these year groups are organised into small classes each with its own designated form teacher who is responsible for monitoring progress and ensuring that the girls are happy and achieving
"I like this school because we are
all like a big family. The teachers
are really funny and they take
part in things like Roald Dahl

"I still remember being in Reception.
As I first stepped into Rupert House,
I remember going down the path with
my oldest friend. I loved Mrs Roux
because she was very nice and helped
me settle in. I’m now one of the oldest
in the school – youngest to oldest." |
 |
"Rupert House is a homely school.
It’s friendly, academic, musical and
sporty and the teachers guide you.
It’s always cosy and warm."
I like the school because when
you fall over they will come and
help you straight away." |
