Alumni Association
In the summer of 2009, Rupert House took its first steps towards forming an official Alumni Association. Coordinated by Mrs Moberly, a database has been created of over 2000 names from school admission records which date back to 1959. Our current task is trying to track down contact details for as many people as we can, particularly email addresses.

Pat Chamberlain
It will sadden many of you to know that Pat Chamberlain, a former teacher died after a short illness on Boxing day 2009, aged 76. Pat joined the staff at Rupert House around 1969, as part-time French teacher and retired in 1994. She became deputy head in the early eighties and was an energetic and enthusiastic teacher with a great sense of fun and a wonderful story teller. Our thoughts are with her daughters, Joanna and Philippa and their families at this sad time.
Jean Parr
It was sad to hear that Jean Parr who taught Maths, and for a short time Latin, died suddently in her sleep on 15th December 2009. Jean joined the staff at Rupert House in the mid seventies and was senior mistress for some years. She retired in 1991. We send our condolences to her husband, Peter and her son Robert, who both live in Henley.

Initiatives so far have been .......
A facebook Group Rupert House Old Girls/Old Boys/Old Teachers has been created and currently has over 300 members, mostly the younger, more recent leavers. We would encourage you to join if you are an active member of Facebook as we will be updating it with information about the alumni association when it becomes available.
We have contacted members of Friends Reunited who are listed as having attended Rupert House and asked them to join the alumni association and provide contact details.
We will be appealing through the Henley Standard for Old Boys and Girls from Rupert House to contact us.
How Can You Help?
- If you are an old pupil or ex member of staff and could help us to update the inforomation we currently hold about you, please could you either click the button at the top or bottom of this page and fill in the online form or contact us via the alumni email address alumni@ruperthouse.oxon.sch.uk
- If you are someone who has kept in contact with several of your peers at Rupert House and could easily find out their email or postal addresses, it would be very helpful if you could let us have as many of them as you can (send to alumni@ruperthouse.oxon.sch.uk)
- We are looking for someone to coordinate the Rupert House hoody. Several people have expressed a desire to be able to buy a Rupert House Alumni Association Hoody (and possibly other items) and we need someone to look into this. Hopefully we should be able to find a company who could produce these and are willing to accept individual orders via the Internet or telephone so that once the system is up and running it would require very little further input.
- Any graphic designers out there who would like to design an alumni logo?
- Send us your thoughts on what you would like from an alumni association. In particular what social events you would like to see happening, what you would like to see included in a newsletter, products you might like to buy and any other ideas that you have.
- If you would like to form part of the alumni committee (mostly a brainstorming group), we would welcome you with open arms.
Future Initiatives
- Regular newsletters with updates on what is happening in the school as well as news from old girls and staff.
- Products such as hoodies may be available for purchase
- Social events
