Our last inspection was carried out during the Spring 2011 term by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).
The Inspectors praised highly numerous aspects of the school rating them as good, excellent or outstanding. They found good pupil attainment and excellent pastoral care at Rupert House and highlighted that, from the EYFS onwards, pupils are successful in their learning and show excellent personal development. In their main findings the inspectors found that good and often excellent teaching ensures that pupils make good progress with a significant making exceptional progress over time.
The highest accolade of outstanding was awarded to each aspect of the Early Year’s Foundation Stage where, amongst numerous, highly complimentary comments the inspectors congratulated us on the excellent staff to pupil ratios, the rich and diverse curriculum, the teachers’ excellent knowledge of how children learn and progress, the excellent ICT skills the pupils acquire and the excellent use of resources for both indoor and outdoor learning.
We are especially delighted that the high quality of our pastoral care has been recognised as excellent as we pride ourselves on being a ‘family school’. In addition the inspectors recognised that ours is a school where all the staff work together for the good of the pupils and where an atmosphere of trust and encouragement permeates the school.
